'Inter Miami CF' was always going to be divisive, given that Becks has appeared to lean on established European heavyweight Inter Milan for a bit of inspiration.
The USA are no strangers to unusual names for sports teams, but some fans have likened Miami's new moniker to an amateur five-a-side outfit rather than soon-to-be world beaters.
The crest, which features two herons and a striking black and pink colour scheme, is also causing a stir. The birds have been included because they represent "power, protection and patience" but their significance has definitely gone over many a head.
Some supporters have branded it an eyesore while others seem to be partial to the design - but at least it has gone down a little better than Leeds' recent rebrand.
